Question : Hi, This is in regard to possible allergic reaction i took the substance 14 hours ago one that I've taken before, 8 hours later my throat became irritated it feels swollen and sticky, I can swallow food and drink water for the time being, I've been having small raised bumps on my arm on and off for weeks they appeared as my throat felt odd and disappeared a half hour later, I was just wondering the odds of a severe allergic reaction 14 hours or more after initial ingestion, What warning signs should I look out for to go to the hospital ect, Thank you

This is what the bumps generally look like, not always red

                                    Brief Answer:
Go to ER for methylprednisolone injections.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
The symptoms of allergic reaction caused by food may start within minutes up to two hours after eating.
In some persons especially to those who develop eczema the reaction may be delayed by some hours and thus us posing your case.
If you are experiencing swollen face, lips and mouth, difficulty breathing, noisy breathing you may need to go to ER.
Taking count that you are currently having those bumps and have an allergic predisposition I can suggest you to go to ER for a methylprednisolone injection in order to prevent the worsening of your symptoms.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
