Hi Doctor , My Mri States This For My Lumbar

L5-S1: There is grade 1 anterolisthesis of L5 on S1 secondary to chronic bilateral
spondylolysis. There are superimposed disc bulging. Findings result in moderate and severe
left foraminal stenosis with impingement of the exiting L5 nerve roots, worse on the left.
Can you explain and in your opinion the symptoms associated with this diagnosis?
It depends on the symptoms, read below.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
I have read your question about the MRI of your lumbar spine findings.
The grade 1 anterolysthesis is found to be of chronic origin, so, probably it was there before the car accident.
The accident may worsen the previously degenerative changes of your spine, it may worsen the symptoms too.
Disc bulges may be caused by the accident, they may have been there before and the accident worsened them, if your symptoms started after the accident.
If you had symptoms such as low back pain in certain positions, pain or numbness along the left leg and foot, etc., before the accident then the accident itself is not responsible for the symptoms or the MRI findings.
Please provide your symptoms in detail in order for me to understand correctly your condition and the relationship with the accident and MRI findings.
Hope this helps.
Feel free to ask and to provide more information.
