Question : Hi i was in Mexico i gave water to stray dog from the bottle and then i threw it away. can you get rabies by touching the bottle dog was drinking from and then touching the eye? dogs were seen healthy 10 days after

It is usually transmitted by the bite of the infected animal.

This is why it is recommended that the animal should be observed for ten days for rabies symptoms.

If the dog was healthy for ten days it is not infected so you should not be worried.

There is no need for rabies shot.
