                                            Question : Hi, my daughter was talking to someone in her class at school , who later on that evening came out in chicken pox rash , what are the chances of her catching it , its been a week so far since . 
I'm 31 weeks pregnant and got a blood test to check if I was immune to it or not , no results back yet .

The incubation period is usually around 2 weeks.
If your daughter is vaccinated then there are almost negligible chances of chicken pox.
If unvaccinated there are around 40-50 percent chance.
The person is infectious 2 days before to 5 days after the onset of rash.
In 31 weeks of pregnancy chances of fetal damage are almost negligible.
If chicken pox occurs in first 20 weeks of pregnancy then there are almost 2 percent risk of fetal damage or if it occurs immediately before delivery then it is dangerous for baby.
