Question : Hi my lill one will be 1 year this month. She has motions since yesterday and today the motion was sticky and had blood stains. Can i use nor metrogyl syrup for her? If yes then what would be the ideal dosage for her

Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
At this age if there is blood in stools, even small amount, needs proper clinical examination.
There are two possibilities
1. Intusussception - This can be diagnosed by clinical examination and ultrasound abdomen.
2. Infection - this can be treated with antibiotics like normetrogyl, but only after clinical examination. Refrain from treating by yourself.
Dose would be around 2.5 ml twice daily.
