Question : Hi my name is Lyna, and i have been experiencing symptoms of pregnancy and feel just as i did when i had my first child. I went to my OB and got a positive testing (7/17/2019) but my bloodwork came back negative. I also have an IUD thats been in effect since 01/19/2018. When I take my at home pregnancy tests the results come back negative.... My ovulation date was 07/05/2019) do you think that this could be the cause or what could be my issue?

I have gone through your query and would like to offer some suggestions.

Your home pregnancy test should be positive if your ovulation date was the same as expected. In the current scenario, the best way to clarify is to get a sonogram of the pelvis, preferably in the trans-vaginal route. Serial estimates of serum beta-hCG titers show doubling titers every 2-3 days in a viable pregnancy.

I would like to know the cause of the IUD in your past pregnancy and if you have any children.
