Hi, Over The Past Few Months I've Been Experiencing Blood

Question: Hi, over the past few months I've been experiencing blood in my mucus when wiping my nose, or when it runs down the back of my throat and I have to spit it out. A few weeks ago my nose was feeling congested so I blew it lightly. A yellow liquid ran constantly from my nose before blood running shortly after. It only appears to be my left nostril. I also have a tooth abscess on the same side which I'm waiting to get treated for, but I'm unsure whether it's related or not.
Brief Answer:
Firstly treat the abcess then can consult an ENT doctor
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I don't think this is related to tooth abcess.
I think you may be having a nose polyp which can cause congestion, blockage and bleeding.
Also you may need to treat the tooth abcess as soon as possible.
You may firstly go to dentist to treat abcess. If the symptoms still continue you should go to ENT doctor to check nose mucosal lining.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi, thanks so much for your help. Can nose polyp also cause a yellow discharge? My nose sometimes is really runny in my left nostril, especially when bending over and a yellow liquid runs out.
