Question : Hi this is for dr sharka hello there I am wondering since it is thanksgiving weekend here won’t be able to see my dr till wed I have a question I have had theratic back pain both side like a sharp pain that comes and goes it does stop me in my tracks but no other symptoms I just had blood work and a loop done all normal and waiting on my echo stress test to come in could this be muscle related or do u think it can be cardiac related plz advise thank u

I understand your concern and would explain that the pain characteristics that you describe ( sharp back pain that come and goes) are typical of a musculoskeletal disorder (probably local inflammation or chronic degeneration of the vertebral column).

In my opinion this pain is not related to the heart.

For this reason, I would recommend taking ibuprofen or acetaminophen for the pain.

I am quite sure that your echo stress test will result normal.

So, try not to think about it any more!
