Question : Hi, this is jagadeesha. Question regarding my father who is 90+, not having motion regularly. Every 4 days i have to put my fingers to his ... and take it out forcely

Hello,
Welcome to the 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I have read your question and below is my opinion for your father case.

He is having constipation problem because he is not able to pass stool in three days.

The cause for constipation should be ruled out in such a old age person because severe jaundice medical history also given.

You need to investigate him with ultrasonography abdomen to rule out any obstruction in passage of stool if present.

If it comes normal than he is having functional constipation for which more wate, more fiber foods, laxatives or soap water enema can be given.
I suggest you consult him to gastroenterologist for detailed evaluation as jaundice is also present.
