Question: Hi, when I was 14 (25 years ago now), I tried using tampons for the first time. When I did this I used the cardboard applicator style however it felt uncomfortable so I took the tampon out and tried again. I did this 4 times and then my tummy started hurting and I realised that I hadn’t removed the cardboard applicators. I removed as much as I could get to but not sure if I left anything behind. I spoke to my mum and she said not to worry as it would just dissolve . I have since had 4 kids, ultrasounds for these pregnancies and transvaginal and colcosopy for other issues so am I am sure if anything untoward had happened as a result of this I would know by how. Am I ok to put this worry to the back of my mind now as it has been such a long time and the tests I have had since would have showed anything
