Brief Answer:
Need to do DMSA Renal Scan to ascertain function of Right Kidney

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Based on the facts and report of Ultrasound Scanning of your son I would state that he has congenital Vesico Ureteric Reflux (VUR) which has damaged his Right Kidney due to paranchymal infection arising out of retrograde infection.

The outcome of the diseased kidney is determined by the functional status of affected kidney which can be diagnosed by doing a test called DMSA Renal Scan. (This is a very important test).

Consult qualified Urologist and get this done so as to make precise comments and suggestions.

Hope I have answered your query, please feel free to ask if you have more questions, I shall be happy to help you. Thanks.
Regards,
Dr. Patil
