(History) Hy Dr, I Was Diagnosed With Diabetes Type-2 7

Hy Dr, I was diagnosed with diabetes type-2 7 month back In a random blood sugar test, my reading were 230 mg/dl, and in fasting blood sugar war 250 , and hbA1c test was 9.7. it was seriously high and i was in shock. In my family history my father was diabetic in late 50s of his age and heart patient, but my age is 32 right now, and i am not over weight(63kg 5 feet 7in height at the time of diagnose). Also no obesity type problem.
Doctor give me medicines one 500 mg metformin daily at night and one Atrovastatin 10mg in morning( for cholesterol). After 3 month of these medicines and a complete change in my diet mostly low carb diet my HbA1c was droped from 9.7 to 6.4. and now again after 3 month I am planning for new hbA1c.
Question;
As I am monitoring my blood sugar daily, mostly early morning fasting and sometimes after dinner. What I found is after dinner and 30min of walk my blood sugar level was 110, but in morning it was again 116 or 117 , I already read on internet about XXXXXXX effect etc. But sir kindly tell me how I can overcome this issue? Do you think for a diabetic patient like me is this value is high? How I can reduce these numbers? Should I increase my medicines, I am now a days taking 750mg half tablet of metformin( near about 375mg daily at night). Should I increase the value? Kindly tell me in detail. Does stress have any relation with this?
and how i can bring my hbA1c to 5.7 ?
Your blood sugar levels are normal.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
The blood sugar levels you are having are not high and are actually normal despite a slight elevation in morning levels due to XXXXXXX phenomenon.
Taking count those levels of fasting blood sugar and last HBA1C you don't need to increase medications dosage.
Medication changes can be recommended if HBA1C is over 7.
You may increase exercising in early morning and continue the low carb diet, limit alcohol intake.
Of course stress increases glucose values so managing the stress will help you with it.
I believe that the HBA1C you will do now will be better than the last one.
Hope I have answered the question.

can you please tell me doctor is that possible for me to come out from medications? if yes then how much time it will take..means if in years aprox how much?
and 2nd i have done 3 month back my kidney function test because i was in a fear that may b i have diabetes from a long time..but kidney test were perfect.
so what you suggest when i should do such kind of tests?
The time needed till you stop medications can't be calculated.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
There is a possibility of coming out of medications gradually.
Managing your diet and body weight very well, choosing low carb foods may make possible stopping the medications.
There can't be a prediction in years or months to calculate the time you need.
Monitoring glucose levels and HBA1C over time can show it.
Kidney function need 10-30 years to be damaged from diabetes if glucose levels are not within normal range.
So there is no need for frequent kidney tests.
You can do kidney tests one in a year or once in two years.
