Question : If you have taken a colon prep liquid to relieve a blockage how long should it take to work after drinking ounes.

Welcome and thanks for your query.
The colon cleanse preperations work in different ways but the commonest is by imbibing water and making the hard fecal matter loose so that it passes out easily. The usual time taken for the agent to reach the colon is about 90 to 120 minutes. So it would normally start working after 2 hours. If you have a slow acting intestine it may take longer. If there's no effect, the dose may be repeated after checking with your doctor /pharmacist.
