Question : 40/F, I have Right granulomatous mastitis undergone surgery also. Recently undergone USG Breast. As per report Right breast shows Residual collections. Left Breast Shows Fibroadenoma. Please advise.Is it require long term treatment? What is prognosis? Chances of Recurrence? Treatment conservative or surgery? Is this Cancer?

Hello dear. There is nothing to worry. granulomatous mastitis and fibroadenoma are both benign harmless conditions. These are not cancer. For fibroadenoma, no treatment is required and long term prognosis is good.
For granulomatous mastitis, prognosis is good. Sometimes steroids may help if it is not tubercular. It is also not cancer.
