Question : Hi. Me and my partner had sex and normally I get pain with sex. But last night when he pulled out my uterus /lower abdomen went into an excruciating cramp! I was in agony. Couldn’t move. He helped me get into the shower I could barely walk and was crying from the pain. The hot water helped a little bit. When My body went all limp, my ears started ringing and I started to black out from from the intense excruciating pain. I’ve never experienced pain like this before in my life. He picked me up and dressed me and got me into bed. And slowly overnight the pain has halved but man that was so traumatic I don’t even know why it happened. I had a laparoscopic surgery a few years ago to see if I had endometriosis due to heavy periods and period pain but they found nothing. I’m 21. Please help me. Why did it happen and how can I prevent that pain from happening again. At the moment I’m being treated for hashinotos disease and am on cabergoline for a brain tumour. But I don’t think this cramping pain has much to do with the brain tumour ogle the hashimotos. Please help me :(
Brief Answer:
Can be a uterine cramp.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
An intense pain after having sex can be due to a uterine cramp that is associated with a deep orgasm. Such cramps usually subside on its own overnight with rest and a mild hot compress. This is not likely to be associated with Hashimoto's or the brain tumor that you have.
In case such a pain is recurrent then do consider consulting your gynecologist and get an ultrasound scan done to rule out pelvic inflammation.
I hope this answers your query. In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out. Wishing you good health.
