Question: I am smoking from the past 8 years and i want to quit smoking ,what are the ways through which i can quit smoking also i want to know the current status of my lungs as when i walk fast or run or climb the ladders i generally feel uncomfortable and feels that my lungs are making extra effort for breathe.

Brief Answer: Lungs are affected Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for your query. Your lungs will surely affected as you have been smoking for 8 long years. You may have to get a PFT (Pulmonary function test) to determine the level of damage in the lungs. Need not worry, such lung damage is reversible, stopping smoking would surely help you to regain your health back. You can use Nicotine chewing gums, transdermal patches or electronic cigarettes to quit the habit. They are effective and with a will to quit it would be no difficult task. Wish you good health. Also my skin color is also turning from wheatish color to darker color and also dark under eyes circles , is there is any way out to get rid of dark under eyes circles
