How Can UTI Be Detected Through A Urine Test Report?

Can you please evaluate the attached report and help analyse the problem.
She (Your mother) has UTI
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Does she have any urinary symptoms like burning, frequency, urgency etc?
Based on the report of routine urine analysis that you have uploaded turbid appearance of urine with presence of 10-15 Leukocytes detected on microscopic examination is suggestive of UTI (Cystitis).
Get her urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.
Give her broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.
Get the prescription of medicines from your family physician.
Ensure she drinks more water to keep urine dilute .
Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to ask if you have more questions, I shall be happy to help you.
Thank you.

she had done the normal urine routine report in the mid of march ( pls refer attached ) then doctor had prescribed medicine one in the night for 5 days .
Now she repeated the test and the results are as attached the new report .
I want to understand even after taking the medicine niftas 100 her infection has not gone so what could be the cause ?
In the previous report there was something called pus cells present but this new report does not have that can you pls help me understand the difference .
As suggested, we will get the culture tests also done , but i also want to understand what is the significance of presence of crystals in the urine and Calcium Oxalate (10 - 15).
Please advice . I am attaching the previous report as well as the new report
Leukocytes and pus cells are one and the same.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The reason why she did not get response to Niftas 100 mg is likely that the organisms that are causing infection may not be sensitive to Nitrofurantoin. Hence, it is always safe and advised to take appropriate antibiotic as per culture report .This helps to target the organisms precisely and avoid taking antibiotics half hazardously.
Go ahead get her urine culture done and start taking appropriate antibiotic as per sensitivity report.
The Calcium Oxalate and other crystals crystals are the dietary calcium oxalate and phosphates or uric acid crystal which are in excess are excreted in urine and there is nothing to be worried about it and need to be investigated further and dealt with if patient has urinary stones.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thank you.
