Question : Hi..I have for all intense purposes a 'boil' I think on my vagina. I think! It's either that or a cyst but I don't know. I had a Bartholin cyst removed only 2 months ago. Not sure if the two ailments are related.
Hi....I didn't give my e-mail address. The cite doesn't have it. It's YYYY@YYYY

Need more details..
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again!
I have read your question carefully and understand your concern.
A simple boil in vagina can go way by itself and using Sits Baths ,but I will need more details to exclude relapse of Bartholini cyst :
1.the exact location of the boil,is inside vagina or in other place
2.do you have pain when you sit down
3.how many times have that you have feel this boil
If you want you can upload and a picture of the affected area .
Hence I will be here waiting for your replay....
Regards

It's definitely not a Bartholin cyst. That cyst was on the other side of the vagina in a different area and since the operation I seem to be fine with that now...but this is just inside the lips of the vagina. It feels like a cyst because it feels like a hard nodule but on the outside of it, it looks a little red and it is a tiny bit sore to touch. I think it could be a boil but the fact that it is hard underneath it like a cyst makes me wonder. I have it for around 2 weeks now and it's not going away. I feel a bit feverish at times but I'm not sure if that's the fact I'm 47 and will be feel hot anyway!!:-) But I'm not sure if I should get antibiotics to clear this up or whether or not it will just go away on it's own. I seem to be prone to 'cysts' all my life so I'm wondering whether this falls into the same category?

                                    Brief Answer:
You should see your gynecologist
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again!
If you have around 2 weeks with this vaginal lesion and it is a bit sore to touch it seems to be more a simple vaginal cyst ,but it should be examined by inspection of affected area by your gynecologist .
If you will need an antibiotic or not vary if the affected area is infected or not .
Hence until you will see your gynecologist continue with Sitz baths adding iodine solution (it is good for infection ).
Hope I have been helpful and please feel free for further discussion.
Best regards
