Question : Can a lipoma feel firm and located near shin bone?

                                    Brief Answer:
Lipoma is a universal tumour.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Lipoma arises from fat tissue. As fat is present beneath the skin through out body,it can occur anywhere .So,it is called universal tumour.
It can be firm.
I prefer to do an FNAC (Fine needle aspiration cytology ) of the swelling for a diagnosis. If the swelling is small, I will remove it surgically and send it for histopathological examination (Biopsy ).Biopsy will give accurate diagnosis.
Please consult your doctor and proceed further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
