Question : hello doctor,
just wanted to confirm one thing that fed up of the pain, from last 2 days i have started massaging the area by applying pressure intensely to the point where i feel hardness and pain.
i feel a band like swelling on that point.
can i continue with the massage on that area , so that if it is scar tissue it starts to break down.

Hi.
Just wanted to confirm whether the massaging by applying pressure intensely reduced the pain; if yes how much?
Are you applying anything while doing massage? like honey, vaseline or steroid cream/ointment?

I think you may please continue and see that you are not rough with the maneuver, be light as too harsh massage can cause microhemarrhages that further converts into fibrosis. This is just a precaution to be taken.
Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.

What signs should i look for that may suggest that i might be applying too much pressure.
Brief Answer:
Pain is the limiting factor.
Detailed Answer:
Bearable mild pain should make you stop the pressure. Better to be slow, gradual in getting the best results. Please give feedback after a few days about the progress.

If i even touch the site it is painful.
So i am applying pressure irrespective of the pain.
I am left with no other option as no doctor is able to acknowledge my problem. The last doctor i met at Sir XXXXXXX XXXXXXX hospital told me that i might require another surgery, which i dont want at this point as there is no discharge/ bleeding.
Please suggest should i continue with the massage even if it is painful.
Also please suggest sholud i get a colonoscopy done.
Sometimes i feel a little pain in the lower abdomen because of the pain at the problem site near anus.
Please suggest
Thanks and Regards

Brief Answer:
As explained.
Detailed Answer:
Since massage is helping you and the last MRI did not show any collection, please continue the massage, albeit lightly.
Getting colonoscopy done is a good idea as it can show if there is any colitis or such problem in the colon. And if this is normal, it helps to rule out any possible cause.
