Question : Hi, I have had a stiff neck that now is causing shoulder pain. I feel a hard pea size lump on my shoulder. Have been taking ibuprofen. Most concerned about the pea size bump. Also, have hx of colon cancer. Thanks
Brief Answer:
Can be small subcutaneous swelling.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
A small pea sized bump on the shoulder is likely to be due to a small subcutaneous swelling like a subcutaneous cyst or a lipoma. A direct examination will help in confirming the diagnosis. In case the swelling is increasing in size or is painful then infection needs to be ruled out.
I hope this answers your query.
Wishing you good health.
