Question : I have had a small red patch on the top of my foot for about three weeks now. It is slightly smoother than the rest of my skin, and does not itch or hurt at all. I have a photo of the red spot as well. Just curious as to what it could be and what I can possibly do to help it go away.

Brief Answer:
Eczematous rash or frictional dermatoses, topical steroid, moisturizing cream

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have reviewed the attached photograph and it could be a mild eczematous rash or frictional dermatoses.

It doesn't look like anything serious.

I would recommend you to apply a topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected area along with the liberal application of moisturizing cream on the entire foot.

This should improve it.

Hope I have answered your query.
