Question : I am a 66 year old white male and have a small (1/4" or less across) red ring on my leg. The red part is about 1/16" wide. The center is normal colored skin perhaps slightly dry and the red ring is slightly raised. It does not itch. I've had it a couple of weeks and tried treating it with clobetasol propionnate which I use for psoriasis, and a topical antibiotic, neither seem to help. I'm leaving town tuesday for a week so I don't have time to schedule my regular physician anytime soon.

Brief Answer:
Granloma annulare

Detailed Answer:
hello. thank you for writing to us.

I an Dr. kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have viewed the image.

Perhaps it is a solitary granuloma annulare (GA). Granulaoma annulare, as the name indicates is composed of multiple small papules grouped together in an annular configuration. GA is usually asymptomatic. I suggest a skin biopsy for a confirmatory diagnosis. You may schedule it when you return, after consulting with a dermatologist.

Regards.
