Question : I did spend a fair amount of time with my question and your system refused to accept my email as valid which it is!! How frustrating. I especially liked Dr Rynne from the material presented. okay will lry again. I have aches and tingles in hands, arms, feet, legs etc. pretty nasty fatigue, memory loss, occasional vertigo, a sort of psychic pain (feeling like crying at times and loss of characteristic rather upbeat nature) I have hearing loss which I have been told is related to my severe fibromyalgia of several years.

I wear hearing aids, which help in small conversational settings. I also had cataract surgery and am seeking a new prescription as initial post op glasses don't seem to quite get the job done. I had 2 surgeries for removal of cancerous lumps( the first didn't quite get the job done) and a period of radiation to help prevent its recurrence. I have been on anastrozole for 3 months and don't know if the way I feel is related to that.

Brief Answer:
Age specific symptoms, not related to Anastrazole

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The symptom complex you have mentioned are age related problems that are quite common among people above seventies.
You need symptomatic treatment and most importantly psychological support from family.

The numbness and vague body pain are due to generalized weakness of nerves or something called neuropathy. Check your blood sugar level and make sure that it is well under controlled. Uncontrolled blood sugar can cause fatigue and nerve weakness.
Memory loss is quite common in this age group and could be due to age related changes in brain or may be early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. You have to engage your brain as in small puzzles and read newspaper to keep you engaged. Nutritional support is needed. You can take multivitamin supplements once daily as trace elements is good for your brain and general health.

Old age people sometimes experience a period of depressive episodes. Avoid unwanted stress and anxiety. Constant support from family is essential. You can also try relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation. You can seek help from a psychiatrist if needed.

You can continue Anastrazole as the symptoms are not related to drug.
You can take drugs like tramadol for pain as it is safe and side effects are minimal.

Wishing you good health.
Thanks
