How Can An 8 Mm Stone In The Distal Ureter Be Treated?

Question: I have 8 mm stone in the distal ureter what to do.no pain no back pressure
Brief Answer:
8mm stone will need treatment if not expelled.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can understand your concern.
A 8mm stone may pass out,if you drink about 3 liters fluids daily.
With this take the following drugs :
1. Potassium Magnessium Citrate tablets or syrup.
2. Alfa-blocker drugs,like Tamsulosin for about a week.
Then repeat the ultrasound scan to see if the stone is expelled.
If it's not expelled,it has to be removed,as it can cause complications.
Surgery if needed is endoscopic lithotripsy.
Wish you well.
