How Can An Ear Infection While Treating Severe Cold Be Managed?

Question: Day 8 of severe cold, not flu (I had flu vaccine 3 was ago). I am 62 yrs old, and in good health. My ears are now badly infected. I am on last day of zpac and starting takin 10mg of prednisone 2x day, 2 days ago with no relief.

The ear symptoms during a cold episode are due to Eustachian tube blockage. You should take a combination of Levocetirizine plus Phenylephrine and put Xylometazoline nasal drops.
