Question : hi Doctor,

Water bottle fell down from table on my index finger and it swelled and became black on nail.Its paining a lot but could move and bend the finger,Can you suggest some pain killer or remedy for pain and swelling.

Hi,

I suggest you apply a cold pack twice daily for 2 days and you can take Tab. Dolo 650 mg for pain. It will reduce on its own within a week and the black discoloration within a month. As long as you are able to move your fingers there is no fracture.
