Question : Have an open sore about the size of an m and m on my middle finger left hand. Don't remember how I got it. I work in landscaping and need my hands. Very hard to heal. It hurts a little when you push on it. What can I do to help the healing process. What can be put on it and what shouldn't. It feels a little better when I tape my third and fourth fingers together. Cant leave it open then it gets dirty. Its ugly and a pain and couldn't possibly be in more of a worse spot then it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
It looks like Pyogenic granuloma.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw the pic.
It looks like Pyogenic granuloma. I prefer to remove the swelling under local anaesthesia. Some do chemical cauterization.
Please consult your doctor /General surgeon and proceed accordingly.
Nothing to worry.
Till consultation, close the lesion with a dressing.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
