How Can An Urticarial Rash On The Arm Be Treated?

default
Posted on Fri, 3 Feb 2017
Question: I am having a hot itchy moving rash that will subside in one place and pop up in another place.
the bumps are spots and large continent looking welts. It started Saturday nite. I have bathed, washed my clothes and bedding in hot water and no fabric rinse. I have not eaten anything out of my normal diet. I have sprayed with Benadryl and taken benadryl orally. nothing is working. My arm just broke out in welts while sitting here.

Brief Answer:
seems like urticarial rash

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

From your description it seems to be an urticarial rash ( a form of allergy). If you can upload a picture it will help.

Benadryl is a good drug for this. If this is not working, then suggest to get a dermatologist consult. There are other prescription drugs like monteleukast and steroids which can help.

Hope this helps.
Regards
