Question : HEllo,
Recently I started feeling very full to my stomach. Similar to when I had acid reflux. I over did some rich foods and had some things that I probaly should not have had over the holidays. I had a head cold and used some nitequil. Since then I have been having this full feeling. The Zantac does not seem to do much (150mm) 1 in am and 1 in the pm. Not sure what else I can do.

Brief Answer:
an endoscopy is recommended

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

if the symptoms remind you of reflux but can't be contained with ranitidine or similar drugs then I would suggest an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. The endoscopy will reveal any lesions (ulcer, esophagitis, tumors, etc) that may cause your symptoms, so proper treatment could instituted. If nothing useful is found during the endoscopy, then an ultrasound scan of the upper abdomen may help. Gallbladder disorders may cause similar symptoms.

Until then I would suggest using a proton pump inhibitor like omeprazole. Once per day should be adequate. Remember to ask your doctor whether it's appropriate for you (no contraindication that is).

I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!
