Brief Answer:
It maybe upper respiratory infection.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

This looks like an upper respiratory infection if there is only cough for the past 3 days.

If it is only dry cough without any respiratory distress or wheezing or fast breathing, it could be only an upper respiratory infection. For this, you can use syrup Promethazine, available commercially as syrup Phenergan, thrice a day. But this is a prescription drug and you will require a doctor's prescription for it.

However, if the cough has been there for many months or weeks now, it could be wheezing and it requires further evaluation.

If this is so, please get back to me, so that I can ask you some questions and guide you better.

Hope I have answered your query.
