Question : My eyes are tearing constantly. or watery eyes
Brief Answer:
about watery eyes
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Constant tearing or watery eyes can be a result of an allergy, a viral or bacterial infection. Lacrimal gland abnormalities or obstruction in its drainage tract can also cause such a presentation. The eyes need to be examined, preferably by an ophthalmologist.
Treatment would depend upon the cause. If a bacterial infection is suspected then topical antibiotic drops can be advised. If there is associated conjunctivitis with a possible allergic component then topical antihistamines and steroids in tapering dose can be advised.
Wishing you best of health.
Thanks.
