Brief Answer:
You need an X-ray

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

If after taking painkillers your pain is still there then I would suggest you get x-rays of the foot. Most probably there is a fracture in the toe. It will need splinting. Splinting is bandaging your injured toe to nearby toe. It will give you pain relief. You can also share your x-rays with me.

Hope I have answered your query.
