                                    Brief Answer:
Needs to see wound care center
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Sometimes people with vascular disease take a long time to heal. The best chance of getting this healed up without a surgery is to get him to a wound care center. There they would have specialists that could do treatments like ultrasound and enzyme treatments to help the wound heal more quickly.
Even then it can take months. If it is really not able to be healed, then sometimes a surgeon must remove the dead tissues and create a new joining of the tissues with the hope that it would heal in a better way.
Hope I have answered your query.

                                    Brief Answer:
Disease of blood vessels.
Detailed Answer:
Vascular disease is just disease of the blood vessels.
Anyone who has had coronary bypass surgery has vascular disease.
In those cases patients may also have vascular disease and other parts of the body. This can result in trouble with wound healing.
Vascular surgeon may be needed.
Surgery is required however, any of his position should be able to refer him to a wound care center.
Hope I have answered your query.
