How Can Dizziness And A Fainting Feeling While Getting Up Be Managed When Diagnosed With Vertigo?

Question: Hello My mom is 50 yrs old. She is diagonised with Vertigo since the last two years. She feels very dizzy and feel like fainting when suddenly gets up, bends down or drying clothes outside by looking upwards. She feels very sweaty, tired and nauseous before her vertigo starts. And this condition stays like this everyday till she has the Gemvart tablet for three days in a row. She has observed the condition to be stable when she takes rest but comes back eventually. she also has a situation of spondilitis. please suggest what can be done. Also it is said the tablet should not be used very frequently. But her situation does not seem to improve without the tabs. please advice on this.

Get evaluation by a neurologist and take treatment
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
This seems to be chronic vertigo and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
Vertigo exercises may help.
Visit to a neurologist or ENT specialist will be helpful too.
Drugs like cinnarizine, betahistine can be taken for few weeks.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
