Question: I am a 69 w male. IHAVE BEEN HAVING AN Unusual amout of gas when I first lay down in PM. Also I have mucous from my anus. not just alittle amount; mor than normal, My bowel movements are normal

Dear sir, this is most probably dysentery.
dysentery can be cause by either a bacterium ( shigella) or by Ameoba
to differentiate between shigella and amoebic dysentery you need to perform a stool analysis ..
if it is not possible to perform a stool analysis then you should take a combination of an antibiotic as ciprofloxacin 1 Gm and an antimicrobial as flagel for continuous 10 days ..
if this course of treatement was not effective then you will need an colonoscopy as you might have an inflammatory bowel disease ..
