Gastric problems mean stomach related/acidity related problems. The symptoms would be upper abdominal gnawing pain, bloating, heartburn, persistent/sour belching etc. The causes include peptic ulcer, gastroparesis, functioal dyspepsia, acid reflux etc.

Acid reflux is one of the acidity related problems as mentioned above. The stomach contents reflux in to the food pipe causing symptoms like heartburn and sour belching.
