Question : Hi Doc,

Attached is the report of tests that I have undergone under general check-up. Please go through it and let me know the issues if any and remedies for them.
I could see that RBCs and WBCs are a bit more than the normal range and also the same is the case with Cholesterol.
I request you to suggest what can be done to keep them in control.

Brief Answer:

Cholesterol-controlling measures given in details below.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I have read your query with the attached report showing different parameters.

* The total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol is borderline high, which should be kept under control to prevent future issues of heart-related conditions.
* WBCs and RBCs range variation is nonspecific ( unless there are specific symptoms).

* Have to focus at lifestyle modifications with dietary measures to keep the cholesterol under control as

@ Decrease intake of saturated fats (as red meat, dairy products)
@ Increase intake of soluble fiber (as oat XXXXXXX, barley, nuts, bean, lentil, pea)
@ Increase intake of foods with omega 3 fatty acids (as canola oil, walnuts, soya beans)

@ Regular walking, exercises, YOGA
@ Avoid stress, anxiety
@ No smoking or alcohol consumption if doing
@ Keep body weight, blood pressure under control
@ Manage regular sound sleep of 7-8 hours

* Repeat cholesterol profile after 3 months doing above measures.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
