Brief Answer:
Cholesterol profile is deranged, you need lifestyle modification

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Your cholesterol levels are not in a good range, and considering your age high cholesterol levels should be managed for better health.

If you are not hypertensive or diabetic and have only high cholesterol levels then you may need dietary modification with some lifestyle changes initially for 3 months. These modifications include:

1. Healthy eating habits or DASH diet

2. No smoking / drinking

3. Daily brisk walking for minimum 40 min

4. No junk food

With the increase of a high fiber diet, your cholesterol levels can be controlled. You need to follow this routine for 3 months then repeat the cholesterol profile.

Plan after 3 months will be, if cholesterol levels fall with lifestyle modification then we will continue with this only. If it doesn’t show much change then we will start with cholesterol lowering drugs also.

Hopefully this information will answer your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.

I made a mistake. My hdl was 64 not 184. Surprised you didn’t catch it. Advice is good though. I assume prognosis is the same with the lower hdl.
