Only very small forced bm's that week. Upon return I took bottle of magnesium citrate also 2nd bottle on 26th. Poor results mainly water coming thru. Each morning been stuffing with 1/2 cup Fiber One, two tspns. metamucil, double dose Miralax 8oz warm prune juice. Evenings more prune juice, double dose Phillips Milk Mag. On 3/6 & 3/ 7 2 more Mag Citrates and also warm sudsy enama's . still only brown water with tiny amount solids. Dr stumped?

Brief Answer:

Chronic constipation

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

As per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this-

1) Please get a clinical examination by your Doctor [Preferably Gastroenterologist] and to confirm exact pathological cause along with doing a few investigations like [colonoscopy, anorectal manometry, and colonic transit study]

2)Discuss with your Doctor about prescription medication [Lubiprostone]

Do follow some essential lifestyle modifications like this-

1) Take more fresh fruits and vegetables each day in your diet.

2) Do exercise most days of the week. Physical activity increases muscular activity in your intestines. Try to fit in exercise most days of the week.

3) Don't ignore the urge to have a bowel movement. Take your time in the washroom, allowing yourself enough time to have a bowel movement without distractions and without feeling rushed.

4)Do consult with your physiotherapist for specific exercise plan for your pelvic floor muscles.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
