How Can Intermittent Fever, Severe Weakness And Body Pain While On Taximo And Dolopar Be Treated?

Question: Hi Doctor,

My sister has been suffering from intermittent fever for last 4 days. With fever spiking in between from 99 to 102. Blood tests were performed on Tuesday & no infections were seen. She is having severe weakness & below were the values for her blood tests were from yesterday-
12.3- HB
2600-WBC
1,57,000- PLATELET
48-NEUTROPHIL
41-LYMPHOCYTES
11-EOSINOPHILS
She has been taking TAXIMO & DOLOPAR650 for last 3 days, however the fever/bodyache/weakness is still not coming down. Please suggest.

Hi,

It looks like a viral fever. It will subside on its own in 2 to 3 days. Continue the medicines and let her have adequate rest and fluids. With supportive treatment, she will feel better. Give her fresh fruits and soups. You can get a urine test and blood culture done if she has fever for more than 5 days.
