Brief Answer:
Drugs advised are not safe in pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Betamethasone is category C drug in pregnancy and is not safe. Prednisolone would be a much better option in this regard.

Avil is also not safe in pregnancy. Loratidine would be a much better option as its relatively safe in pregnancy.

Please apprise your doctor regarding these options.

the patient needs to be fully examined to look for possible jaundice, scaling on skin, drug eruption , rash, dryness etc and proceed accordingly

The cause of the generalized itching needs to be worked up. Baseline investigations including full blood count, liver function tests, renal function tests , urinalysis and an ultrasound abdomen pelvis should be advised to look for a possible cause.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
