Question : I’ve been feeling unwell for about 7 days. I’ve been feeling nauseous and have got sick a couple of times over the last 7 days. I’ve also been feeling cold and slight backache. I also had hemorrhoids 7 days ago which had thankfully cleared up now. I get it hard to keep food down and the smell of food makes me nauseous. When I do eat I get cramps. I also have a white discharge on my knickers for the last 5 days. I’m on day 25 of a 26 day cycle.

Get Benadryl for nausea. Also, omeprazole 20mg daily for cramps!

Hi,

You seem to be having acute gastritis, induced/aggravated by food. This is responsible for cramps and nausea.

I recommend the above medications for relief of both the cramps and nausea.

These changes in mood could also be related to premenstrual syndrome, a general feeling of unwell just before your periods start.

Good enough, symptoms often lessen soon after your periods start.

Ok thank you. I thought it might be very early symptoms of pregnancy. Is this possible?

These cannot be suggestive of pregnancy without a missed period!

Hi,

If you had missed a period, then this would have been very valid. However, without missed period, this is very very unlikely.

With your menses just around the corner, it will be nice to see whether they show up as expected or not. This will guide and may lead to new developments.
