There are many reasons for a lump in the lactating stage as inflammatory collection giving lump appearance or else.

Kindly give reports as attachments to evaluate it precisely, as currently there are no reports seen as an attachment here.

Brief Answer:
Inflammatory mastitis most likely. All thorough guidelines are given below

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Thanks for all the reports since beginning.

* Inflammatory mastitis most likely condition.

* As the initial report of 26/08 was showing left lower quadrant ill defined lump and then consistent ultrasound dated 4/01 and 13/02 are showing lump at 5,6 o'clock position of the left breast.

* Inference from the comparison of reports is the lump size has reduced since the beginning.

* In addition to that other small areas are also seen in varying size, which seems mostly due to hormonal changes from current lactation stage.

* My recommendations at present for you

- Do not get panic from different sizes of lumps narrated, these happen many times in hormone alterations and get recovered with time.

- Allow her to consume more liquids to maintain hydration, balanced nutritious diet to build the internal immunity.

- Do regular self-examination with the pulp of fingers, in case if she feels abnormal increase in the size of lumps, pain or redness over the area, difficulty feeding or sucking by the baby then immediately consult the doctor.

- Do regular ultrasound evaluation at a period of 2 months to evaluate the progress of the condition.

* Apart from above explanations, if she has any symptoms pertaining to this, I would like to hear in the follow-up conversation.

* Later on as per the progress, you should discuss the need for FNAC report with your doctor, which I do not recommend at this stage as per my clinical experience.

Hope this information will be useful to you. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing her fine recovery and best motherhood.

Take care.

Brief Answer:
Thanks for FNAC report here as an attachment which is showing Benign (non cancer) granulomatous inflammation changes.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

* As compared to previous reports, last report is showing significant reduction of the lump size. Along with which there is another new shown up areas in other regions of breast strongly suggestive of hormone induced changes most likely.

Hope I have answered your query.
