Question: Hello, I'm wondering about anal play with a J Pouch and if it could be performed? You answered here: https://www.healthcaremagic.com/premiumquestions/Is-it-safe-to-have-anal-sex-13-years-after-total-colectomy-with-reattached-small-intestine-and-a-J-pouch/4452#signupmodal

I'm a man who likes anal play and I can't do it anymore because of Colitis. Please tell me it's possible with a J Pouch? I have a rectal stump so can the surgeon leave enough room back there to enjoy my sexuality. So many sites say that it's not possible which scares me that I can't have my sexuality. My sexual life is shattered because of this which affects every other mood I have and leaves me extremely depressed. My surgeon says it's not recommended which scares me to think I can't have my sexuality anymore. Thanks

Brief Answer:
Not recommended

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Yes, your surgeon is right. It is not recommended to have any sort of frictional action with J pouch. The Jejunal is not strong enough to bear any sort of physical friction. Tears in the layer can occur if attempted.

Hope I answered your query. Please do ask if any doubts.

If that is the case then why didn't I just die because now I can't have the one feeling that i liked in my life and everything seems pointless as now I just hate everything because I can't feel anything.

There must be some way that I can still have anal play and not have to have an ostomy bag. Can the surgeon hook my small intestine to the rectal stump so I can have some space for my sexuality instead of going crazy every second because my life is ruined.

I kind of yelled at the receptionist for my surgeon on the phone last time as my mental health reaches it's breaking point over all this about every four days so I'm afraid to phone him. I just don't know what to do.
