Question: I take metoporol er and have been for awhile,however my problem is that I have a swallowing problem, due to extensive throat surgery. I have read that the pill should not be crushed. What are my options?

You can use metoprolol ER capsules instead of tablet. Open the capsule, poor the content in a spoon and mix it with soft food such yoghurt or pudding. Swallow it without chewing.
