Question : I am having pain in my hip towards the front. Think it could be a muscle. Sitting and laying down relieves the pain. Walking hurts
Brief Answer:
Sprain at anterior superior iliac spine
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The pain you are experiencing could be due to sprain or pull in the muscle attachments to anterior iliac spine.
It will subside on its own if you provide rest by being in position where the pain eases.
You can take pain killers like Tab Motrin 400mg if the pain is too much.
If you develop pain in any other parts of the hip developing spontaneously, then do report back to me. We may have to then think about inflammatory conditions.
Hope I answered your query. Wish you good health.
Regards
