Question : I have had a pain in my left side for several days, but no other symptoms. Nothing takes the pain away. Coughing and sneezing are very painful. Otherwise, I am in very good health for being 74 and female.

Hi,

If you are having intolerable pain it could be because of inflammation. The inflammation can be because of various reasons (may even be an infection).

Try an additional anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen 400mg dose after food. Besides, antibiotics should be taken if a source of infection found.

Please take anti cough medicine and Allegra like anti histamine medication as well.
It is better to initiate steam inhalation as well for quick relief.
