Brief Answer:
Arthritis hip

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I assume that there is no history of trauma. As the pain has progressed and you are a 60 year old male, it is osteoarthritis hip.

You should get it diagnosed by an MRI of the hip joint. Even X-ray hip ap and lateral view gives some clue but MRI is better.
Get lab tests as TLC, DLC, ESR and serum uric acid, RA factor.

Till the tests, you should take analgesic as tab Aceclofenac two times or tab paracetamol two times. Take a calcium supplement.
You need cartilage rejuvenators like Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate.

Such products are also available as over the counter products.
In low grade arthritis, medicine is enough to give improvement but in more severe cases joint replacement has to be done. Get investigations as MRI done as soon as possible.

Hope I have answered your query.
