Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

Can you clarify what you mean by the term expired. If you took an expired medicine, then there is nothing to worry.

Medicines when expired, lose their efficacy. They dont become poisons on expiry. Its just that they may not be as effective as before expiry.

Hope it clears your doubt. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I meant expired to mean the end of the 12 hour period, it is a 12 hour tablet

Brief Answer:
Metoprolol will help lower heart rate

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

So you have high heart rate after the effect of Claritin weared off. Mostly it will normalise by itself in sometime.

Metoprolol will definitely help in lowering your heart rate. An antianxiety medication like Alpraxolam 0.25mg once to decrease anxiety can be helpful. Its a prescription medicine. Deep breathing for example in anulom vilom (check on youtube) can be very helpful in lowering heart rate. Resting, sleeping can be helpful.

Whenever you get to doctor or pharmacy, get your blood pressure checked.

Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
